This Privacy Policy ("Policy") explains how FlowHer period health app and related websites, software, and online services (collectively, the "Services") collect, use, store, share, and protect your personal information when you access, register for, or use the Services.

FlowHer is provided and operated by the relevant operating entity ("we," "us," or "FlowHer"). Please read and fully understand this Policy before using the Services. By starting or continuing to use our Services, you indicate that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by this Privacy Policy and the FlowHer User Agreement.

If you do not agree with any part of this Policy, please stop using our Services immediately.

1. Types of information we collect

We may collect the following types of information on a lawful, legitimate, and necessary basis:

Nickname and username

Device identification information, such as device model and operating system version

2. Health and physiological information, with your authorization

After receiving your explicit authorization, FlowHer may connect with third-party platforms or systems such as Apple Health ("Third-Party Health Sources") to read and analyze certain health and physiological data, including but not limited to:

Heart rate and heart rate variability (HRV)
Sleep duration and sleep quality
Activity and exercise data
Blood oxygen and respiratory rate
Menstrual cycle records, such as period and ovulation records

The above information is collectively referred to as "Health Information."

Important note: currently, Health Information read by FlowHer is stored and processed only on your local device. We do not upload, store, or directly access your raw health data. Therefore, we cannot provide manual intervention or medical-grade support based on raw health data.

In-app operation logs, after anonymization or de-identification
Crash logs and performance data

If you purchase membership or subscription services, we may collect necessary information such as transaction time and subscription type, but we do not store your full payment account or bank card information. Such information is processed directly by the app store or payment platform.

5. Approximate location information

We may obtain your approximate geographic region, such as country or city level, based on IP address, only for service compliance, statistical analysis, or feature optimization.

For example, information submitted when registering an account, filling in profile information, or contacting customer support.

2. Third-party imports authorized by you

For example, Health Information imported from Third-Party Health Sources such as Apple Health.

3. Automatically collected information

Usage and device information automatically recorded through technical means while you use the Services.

When you provide information to us or authorize us to connect with Third-Party Health Sources, you agree that we may process relevant information in accordance with this Policy.

3. Information storage and cross-border transfer

Non-health personal information may be stored on secure servers located in Asia.
We may transfer information to countries or regions where third-party service providers that assist us in providing the Services are located.

You understand and agree that data protection levels may differ across jurisdictions. To the extent permitted by law, regulators, courts, or law enforcement authorities may access relevant information according to law.

If you are located in the European Union or European Economic Area (EEA), we will take compliant cross-border data protection measures under applicable laws such as the GDPR.

4. How we use your information

We use your information only within a reasonable and necessary scope, mainly for:

Including period prediction, rhythm analysis, status prompts, and related functions.

We will not use your personal information for purposes unrelated to FlowHer's core functions.

After receiving your explicit consent, we may provide text content you actively enter and images you upload to Volcano Engine to provide AI image generation services.

We only transmit data necessary to provide the service to third parties and do not transmit unrelated personal information.

Operating entity: Beijing Volcano Engine Technology Co., Ltd.
Purpose: AI image generation based on content you enter
Data type: text descriptions entered by users and image materials uploaded by users

2. Third-party data protection commitment

We confirm that Volcano Engine has established a personal information protection system and can provide data security and privacy protection capabilities no lower than this application's standards. It processes your data strictly according to applicable laws, regulations, and agreements, and will not use it for unauthorized purposes.

3. Collection and use description

We collect text content you actively enter and images you upload for AI image generation requests and display.

Collection is based on active user upload or input, and is used only to provide AI creation services. It will not be used for advertising, marketing, or other purposes.

Withdraw granted authorization
Restrict or object to certain information processing

10. Protection of minors

FlowHer does not provide Services to minors under 18 years old. If we discover that we have mistakenly collected information from a minor, we will delete it promptly according to law.

If you are a resident of California, the European Union, or the EEA, you may have additional data protection rights under applicable law, including the right to know, the right to delete, and the right not to be discriminated against. We will fulfill corresponding obligations under applicable law.
